We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner to join our Primary Care department in Vergennes. This is a 0.5 FTE exempt position.
Practices medicine within their scope of practice based on their education, training and experience developed with their physician group. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in primary care, caring for both pediatric and adult patients.
Education, Licensure, and Certifications
PA: Completion of an Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) approved program (prior to January 2001 – Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs). Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required.
NP: Completion of a master's, post-master's, or doctorate from a nurse practitioner program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE) or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). Current certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or an equivalent body is required.
Candidates must be board certified/eligible, able to obtain a Vermont NP or PA license as well as a DEA certificate.
Experience
Previous 2-3 years of experience as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant required.
