LONDONmiddlebury is an integrated marketing and branding firm based in Winooski, Vermont. We work with small businesses, enterprises, and nonprofits across a variety of industries. Our small team handles everything from research and strategy to design and execution. We're thinkers and doers who put the client first and love a challenge.
Our clients range from community banks and nonprofits to tourism organizations and software companies. If you want hands-on experience across a diverse portfolio, not just one brand or one channel, this is the place to be.
The Role
We're looking for a Marketing Assistant to support our team in designing and executing brand and marketing strategies for clients across Vermont and beyond. This is a true entry-level position. You'll learn by doing, with mentorship from experienced team members who will help you grow into a well-rounded marketing professional.
You'll be involved in a little bit of everything: helping manage social media accounts, supporting website updates, drafting content, pulling campaign reports, assisting with email campaigns, and contributing ideas to client strategy sessions. No two days look the same, and that's what makes it exciting.
This is an in-person role based at our Winooski office, with options and flexibility for remote work throughout the year.
What You'll Do
- Support the management of client social media accounts, including posting content, monitoring engagement, and helping grow audiences across platforms
- Create engaging Reels, Stories, and short-form social content with an eye for what people actually want to watch and share
- Assist with the design and build of webpages, landing pages, and website updates using platforms like Wix, Hubspot, WordPress, and more
- Help design and build email marketing campaigns using platforms such as Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or ActiveCampaign
- Write and edit content for client blogs, websites, advertising channels, and social media
- Support graphic design needs for print and digital media
- Pull and organize campaign performance reports, track key metrics, and help the team understand what's working and what's not
- Aggregate and review source material to support copywriting and social content creation
- Help organize projects and keep deliverables on track across multiple clients
- Communicate directly with clients and build trusting relationships
- Contribute to campaign strategy alongside senior team members
What We're Looking For
- This role is ideal for someone at the start of their marketing career. Whether you're coming from an internship, a career change, or simply ready to dive in. We value potential and curiosity over a long resume.
Required:
- A genuine passion for social media. You follow trends, understand what makes content perform, and have an instinct for what audiences want to see
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
- Comfort juggling multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to pitch in wherever needed
- Basic comfort with data. You don't need to be an analyst, but you should be able to read a report, spot trends, and summarize what the numbers mean
- Proficiency with Google Workspace
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Nice to Have:
- Experience creating Reels, Stories, TikToks, or other short-form video content
- Familiarity with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar)
- Experience with content management systems, especially Wix
- Exposure to analytics tools like Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, or email platform reporting
- Internship or coursework in marketing, social media management, or content creation
- A portfolio or examples of content you've created (social posts, writing samples, design work, anything goes)
What We Offer
- The expected pay range for this position is $40,000 - $45,000 per year. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this role. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
- Unlimited paid vacation (with a 10-day consecutive cap and manager approval)
- 5 paid sick days per year
- 2 weeks paid family and medical leave
- Workers' compensation coverage
- Additional benefits for full-time employees (details provided during the interview process)
- Investment in your professional development, including training, conferences, certifications, and opportunities to grow your skills on the job
- Mentorship from experienced marketing professionals across strategy, design, and digital
- Hands-on experience across a diverse client portfolio
- A collaborative, creative work environment in Winooski's vibrant downtown
What Success Looks Like
In your first 90 days, you'll get up to speed on our clients, tools, and workflows during a structured introductory period. By six months, you'll be independently managing social media calendars, pulling campaign reports, drafting content with minimal revision, and contributing to client strategy conversations. By one year, you'll be a go-to team member trusted with client-facing communication, performance analysis, and creative execution across multiple accounts.
