We’re looking for a Donor Relations Specialist to join our team!

The Donor Relations Specialist plays a key role on Age Well’s dynamic Development & Communications team, advancing fundraising and donor engagement initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Major Giving and working closely with the Chief Advancement Officer and department staff, this position supports the organization’s mission by strengthening donor relationships, managing town funding efforts, and overseeing CRM database systems.

This donor-centric role helps cultivate and steward individual donors, manage town funding across Age Well’s service area, and ensure accurate and effective use of fundraising data. The specialist contributes to donor cultivation strategies, stewardship activities, and campaign execution while maintaining the integrity and functionality of Age Well’s donor database.

Essential Job Functions

1. Fundraising, Development, and Donor Relations

  • Manage gift acknowledgment processes, ensuring timely, accurate, and personalized thank-you calls, notes, and receipts.
  • Support donor communications with imagery, storytelling, reports, surveys, and data.
  • Conduct donor research and support prospecting strategies for new and existing donors.
  • Monitor donor retention, track lapsed giving, and maintain accurate records of donor communications.
  • Provide administrative support for campaigns, appeals, and events, including mailings, online giving, and peer-to-peer fundraising.
  • Support donor event coordination and execution.
2. Database Management, Analysis, and Reporting
  • Oversee Fundraise Up and Bloomerang CRM platforms, ensuring accuracy, data integrity, and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain queries, reports, and dashboards to inform strategy and measure outcomes.
  • Analyze donor data to identify trends and opportunities for cultivation and revenue growth.
  • Regularly audit, update, and clean database records to ensure accuracy.
  • Create and document procedures for consistent data entry and reporting, incorporating best practices from Bloomerang Academy.
  • Share database insights and best practices with the Development & Communications team.
  • Collaborate with Finance on gift reconciliation.
3. Town Funding
  • Manage all aspects of the town funding process, including applications, outreach, and reporting.
  • Research and pursue new town funding opportunities aligned with Age Well’s mission.
  • Maintain up-to-date supporting materials, financials, data, and templates.
  • Coordinate Age Well’s representation at town meetings or petition sites, as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to prepare the Annual Town Impact Report.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of two years of administrative experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
  • Strong organizational, project management, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, adapt in a fast-paced environment, and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and donor management software; experience with Bloomerang and Fundraise Up strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of CRM best practices, data entry standards, and office procedures.
  • High level of discretion in handling confidential donor information.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
