Summary Description: Provides surveying and CADD skills to prepare engineering plans and exhibits. Utilizes technical skills to perform initial designs and layouts of infrastructure and civil/site engineering projects. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform field surveys to collect attribute and location data utilizing various methods which may include GPS and/or total station survey equipment.
  • Provide a full range of drawing production work including basic design and exhibits. 
  • Perform records research. 
  • Maintain CAD workstations, software, directories, and archives as guided by company standards and practices.
  • Prepare and maintain files, records, drawings, and other data related to engineering projects.
  • Collect attribute and location data in the field using various methods and tools, including Global Positing System equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate Degree or Technical School equivalent with course work in Drafting (CAD) and Civil, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • Experience: 0-5 years of professional experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • CADDo Survey
  • Knowledge of drafting/CAD techniques, design, and engineering terminology.
  • Computer literacy including a major word processor program, spreadsheet, graphics and/or CAD.
  • Ability to interpret metes and bounds property descriptions.
