Pay Rate: $15.00/hour
Eligible Age Range: 15–17 years old.
Overview: Academic Enrichment Support staff are high school students who provide critical support to ELP after-school programs. They serve as energetic, compassionate assistants who help maintain a safe, fun, and engaging learning environment for younger students.

Responsibilities:

  • Support classroom teachers and program leaders during after-school hours
  • Engage directly with students through play, academic activities, and enrichment projects
  • Assist with snack distribution and clean-up Participate in and facilitate movement-based activities (outdoor play, gym time, etc.)
  • Help maintain classroom organization and cleanliness
  • Model positive behavior and respectful communication
  • Respond to the needs of students under the guidance of adult staff
Licensing Considerations: AES staff may not be left alone with students at any time (per Vermont CDD regulations). AES staff do count in student-to-staff ratios when accompanied by qualified adult staff.
