RNESU SPED Paraeducator

RNESU is accepting applications for a Paraeducator for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.

The Paraeducator is responsible for helping to provide academic and behavioral support to students as needed. This is to be accomplished in accordance with all relevant legislation, policies and procedures. The Paraeducator will be responsible for supporting students within the classroom or community setting. They must ensure the development and safety of students and be respectful of the students and their parents.

The following qualifications are required:

  • Associates degree or equivalent
The following are preferred:
  • Previous teaching or related experience
  • Understands accommodations and classroom expectations while providing student support
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in accordance with federal, state and RNESU requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with students, parents, staff and members of the community
  • Ability to work harmoniously and collaboratively with others
  • Knowledge and experience with basic principles of child development, effective methods of dealing with children, and curriculum and instruction
