The Addison Northwest School District is seeking a School Psychologist for the 2025-2026 school year from August through December 2025. Under the direction of the Director of Student Support Services, the School Psychologist responsibilities include: provide counseling services to students with social/emotional needs, cognitive and achievement testing, behavioral management, working with MTSS teams, professional development training to staff, consultation services to a variety of staff and be part of educational support teams, grade level teams and MTSS teams at the school and district level.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following, and other duties may be assigned.
- Effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
- Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with teachers, administrators, support staff, students and parents.
- Develop, write and implement effective behavior plans including data collection, analysis and procedures.
- Assess student skills, behavior challenges and social skills.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive reports, records and files
- Work confidentially with discretion.
- Drive a vehicle to conduct work.
- Maintain current knowledge of technological advances in the field.
- Meet schedules and timelines.
- Provide work direction and guidance to assigned personnel.
- Interpret and understand state and federal laws and regulations regarding special education.
